Ham And Cheese Sliders With Hawaiian Rolls
I love making hot ham cheese sliders with Hawaiian rolls in the oven with a melted butter mixture on top as everyone loves that melted cheese pull when grabbing the slider.
The best part of making these ham sliders is how easy and convenient they are to make with store bought deli cooked ham and pre sliced Swiss cheese.
These classic poppy seed ham and cheese sliders are also easy to customize with your favorite ingredients like brown sugar ham or cheddar cheese.
I like to serve ham and cheese sliders with my creamy coleslaw, Hawaiian macaroni salad, red potato salad and my best ever baked beans!
Ingredients
- 12 Slider Buns – use Hawaain roll sliders or the soft slider buns of your choice
- Deli Ham – thinly sliced cooked ham or use thinly slices of a homemade ham
- Swiss Cheese – also refer to my best cheese for melting
- Mayonnaise
- Dijon Mustard
- Butter – melted
- Minced Onion
- Poppy Seeds
Substitutions & Variations: Use cheddar, mozzarella, provolone or pepper jack cheese for spice lovers in place of Swiss cheese. You can make ham and cheese sliders without poppyseeds if you prefer by not using them.
How To Make Ham & Cheese Sliders
Step One – Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step Two – Prepare the Buns: Cut the slider buns in half. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
Step Three – Assemble the Sliders: Spread mayonnaise on the buns. Layer Swiss cheese, ham and Swiss cheese on top. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
Step Four – Make the Glaze: In a bowl, mix together melted butter, Dijon mustard, minced onion, poppy seeds.
Step Five – Apply the Glaze: Brush the glaze generously over the top of the sliders, making sure to cover them evenly.
Step Six – Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are lightly browned and crispy.
Step Seven – Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before serving.
