Ingredients

  • Cream Cheese – 8 oz at room temperature I prefer to use cream cheese with its creaminess and flavor instead of butter
  • American Cheese – 16 oz white American cheese is the best cheese to use for this white queso recipe as a flavorful cheese that melts well, you can also use Velveeta Blanco
  • Green Chiles – 4 ounces diced, I use a 4 oz can of Old El Passo green chiles I love the flavor they add
  • Cumin – ground
  • Jalapeños – minced
  • Milk – I like to use 1/2 cup of low fat milk as the cream cheese makes it creamy already
  • Cilantro – chopped for the garnish

Variations: Use a bit of cayenne pepper or chilli flakes for more flavor and a dash of spicy heat.

  3. Stir in the green chillies, cumin, garlic salt, and just a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  4. Add more milk if you want the dip to be thinner or if the dip is too thin, you can continue to heat it on low until the sauce thickens to your prefer
