Cheeseburger Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls
Having made these using different rolls we always come back to the Hawaiian rolls as being the best rolls for cheeseburger sliders. The soft fluffy texture and slight sweetness of the rolls compliments the savory flavors of the ground beef with the gooey melted cheese so well!!
The smaller size of these cheeseburger party sliders make them an excellent convenient food for snacking at any gatherings. We whipped up a batch of our must try ‘special burger sauce’ that tastes amazing and is perfect for dipping the mini size cheeseburgers into.

STEP TWELVE – Remove the sliders from the oven. Slather the remainder of the garlic butter on top of the sliders.

Add a few slices of your favorite cooked bacon to make cheeseburger sliders with bacon.
Use ground turkey instead of ground beef.
If you like your burgers spicy add some hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the burgers.
Sandra’s Top Tips
- Drain the extra fat of the cooked ground beef so it does make the sliders soggy
- Add the sesame seeds as soon you baste the buns with butter so they stick well
- Cheeseburger sliders are best enjoyed served as soon as they are assembled so that the buns are soft and the ingredients are fresh
- Serve with all your favorite burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise
- Make a double or triple batch for a party you are going to need them!!
Can I make these sliders ahead of time?
Yes, you can cook the beef mixture and prepare the special sauce and store them in the fridge the day before. Put them together just before you bake them so you do not get soggy sliders.
Storage and reheating instructions
Store any leftovers (we never seem to have any they are just too good) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F for up to 5 – 7 minutes or until heated through. When reheating place an aluminum foil tent on top so the tops do not get too hard!!
Reheat a single slider in the microwave for 20 seconds until warmed.Print
