Ingredients

- Chicken – 1 1/2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces
- All Purpose Flour
- Salt and Black Pepper
- Avocado Oil
- Honey
- Garlic Cloves – 4 gloves of minced garlic
- Soy Sauce

- Sesame Seeds – for the garnish is optional

Variations: Make honey garlic chicken breasts by not cutting the chicken into bite sized pieces and using the whole breasts in this recipe.
How to make honey garlic chicken bites

STEP ONE – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the flour mixture.
STEP TWO – Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the coated chicken pieces to the skillet in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
STEP THREE – Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
STEP FOUR – In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce until well combined.

STEP FIVE – Reduce the heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce into the same skillet used for the chicken. Cook the sauce for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
STEP SIX – Return the cooked chicken pieces to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and the sauce is well incorporated.
STEP SEVEN – Serve the chicken bites hot and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Sandra’s Tips
- Cut the chicken into uniform bite sized pieces for the best even cooking
- Do not overlook your chicken for the best juicy chicken and it does not become tough and dry
- Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds for added texture, flavor and freshness
- For a make ahead dinner you can prepare the chicken and let it marinate in the fridge overnight and cook when ready
- Best served fresh and hot from the skillet so cook when you are ready to serve
Storage and reheating instructions
Store leftover chicken using an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a pan on the stove over medium heat for a couple of minutes or just until heated through. Or in a microwave-safe dish using 30 second intervals in the microwave until heated through.
