Description

These sticky honey garlic chicken bites are one of those dinners everyone gets excited about. Crispy chicken tossed in a sweet and savory sauce, ready in just 25 minutes, and perfect with rice or noodles. It’s an easy, comforting meal you’ll want on repeat.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup avocado oil

1/3 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the flour mixture.
  2. Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the coated chicken pieces to the skillet in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce until well combined.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce into the same skillet used for the chicken. Cook the sauce for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
  6. Return the cooked chicken pieces to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and the sauce is well incorporated.
  7. Serve the chicken bites hot and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
