Easy Holiday Snowball Cookies
These tender, buttery cookies have a rich, crumbly texture and just the right amount of chocolate. Whether you call them snowballs, Russian tea cakes, or Mexican wedding cookies, this classic recipe belongs in every holiday baking lineup.
Ingredients You’ll Need

1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling the cookies
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Step by Step Instructions


STEP ONE – Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
STEP TWO – In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar
STEP THREE – Add in the vanilla extract, and mix til combined.
STEP FOUR – In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.



STEP FIVE – Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, a crumbly dough will begin to form.
STEP SIX – Add the mini chocolate chips and fold together with the dough.
STEP SEVEN – Roll the dough into 1 tbsp. sized balls. Place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment.
STEP EIGHT – Bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes.
STEP NINE – Allow the cookies to cool just slightly, and roll in the extra powdered sugar while still warm.
STEP TEN – Allow the cookies to finish cooling and enjoy.

Storage Instructions:Â Store snowball cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze in a sealed container for up to 2 months. Let thaw at room temperature before serving. No reheating needed.
