Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling the cookies

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup mini chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  3. Add in the vanilla extract, and mix til combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, a crumbly dough will begin to form.
  6. Add the mini chocolate chips and fold together with the dough.
  7. Roll the dough into 1 tbsp. sized balls. Place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  8. Bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool just slightly, and roll in the extra powdered sugar while still warm.
  10. Allow the cookies to finish cooling and enjoy.

Notes

Storage Instructions: Store snowball cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze in a sealed container for up to 2 months. Let thaw at room temperature before serving. No reheating needed.
