Description
This easy White Queso Dip recipe is so delicious and smooth, that is just as good as the queso at our favorite Mexican restaurants. Perfect for a comforting, warm and gooey cheese dip for a snack or the best appetizer to get the party started at family gatherings or football game parties!!
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
16 oz white American cheese
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
4 ounces diced green chiles
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1-2 teaspoon minced jalapenos
1/2 cup low fat milk
Chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Cut the American cheese into smaller cubes and add them into the slow cooker.
- Add the softened cream cheese, butter, peppers, milk and cumin.
- Set the slow cooker to high and cook for 1 hour. Sir the mixture every 15 minutes.
- Garnish the queso with cilantro or even some sliced jalapeños and enjoy with tortilla chips or any other dipping foods!!!
Notes
Storage and reheating instructions:
Store any leftovers (we never have any!!) once cooled in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a microwave-safe dish with 30 second intervals stirring each time until heated through. Or in a pan over a low heat on the stove stirring often until heated through.
You can also reheat it in the crockpot on a low heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
