Nutter Butter Puppy Chow

This easy 4 ingredient Nutter Butter Puppy Chow recipe is a peanut butter twist on the classic puppy chow recipe. The crunchy, sweetness of the powdered sugar-coated Chex cereal strikes a delicious balance with the creamy peanut butter flavors, for a fun and delicious treat!

Peanut Butter Puppy Chow

The combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy with peanut butter flavors makes this muddy buddy treat simply addictive.

Peanut butter lovers will enjoy how the richness of Nutter Butter cookies and the peanut butter coating make these bite-sized pieces perfect for gatherings or snacking.

Ingredients

  • Peanut Butter Candy Melts
  • Chex Mix
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Nutter Butter Cookies

Variations: For an extra salty crunch you can add pieces of pretzels to the puppy chow.

How To Make Nutter Butter Puppy Chow

Step One – Melt peanut butter candy melts for 2:00 on 50 percent power or defrost mode. Stir. Heat again at 1:30 on 50 percent power and stir. Microwave another 30 seconds at 50 percent power and repeat this until fully melted. Some packages are different so always check the candy melts bag.

Step Two – Add Chex mix to a gallon ziplock bag. Pour in peanut butter candy melts. Mix well by move the chex mix around in the bag until well coated.

Step Three – Add in powdered sugar and toss well. Break apart nutter butter cookies and add to the bag. Pour into a bowl for serving.

Storage Instructions

Store puppy chow in an airtight container at room temperature for 7 to 10 days.

Freeze using a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

6 oz peanut butter candy melts

2 cups chex mix

1/2 cup powdered sugar

6 nutter butter cookies
