Strawberry Muddy Buddy Snack Mix

For a fun twist on regular puppy chow crispy Chex cereal is coated in white chocolate, dusted with powdered sugar with the added extra flavor of strawberries and M&M candy.

It’s an easy to make pink treat, making it a fun and festive special snack to share for a Valentine’s Day, baby showers, birthday parties and for a spring party or get togethers.

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon Chex Cereal
  • White Chocolate Chips – melted
  • Freeze Dried Strawberries – blended
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Valentine’s M&M’s
  • Marshmallows

Using freeze dried strawberries instead of powder makes a big difference in the fruity strawberry flavor of the puppy chow!

How To Make Strawberry Puppy Chow

Dehydrated strawberries in bowl from food processor.

STEP ONE – Blend freeze dried strawberries in a food processor. Set aside.

Melted white chocolate in small bowl.

STEP TWO – Melt white chocolate as directed on the bag or in 30 second intervals on 50 percent power until melted. 

Melted white chocolate is added to cereal mixture.

STEP THREE – Easily mix chex cereal with melted chocolate in a bowl. Careful not to break the cereal. 

Processed and crushed to a powder, the dehydrated strawberries are placed in a Ziploc bag.

STEP FOUR – In a bag add in blended strawberries and powdered sugar.

STEP FIVE – Add in chocolate covered chex cereal and mix well. Making sure that all the pieces are coated. 

Marshmallows and Valentine's M&M candies are added to the Ziploc bag.

STEP SIX – Add in M&M’s and marshmallows. Mix and serve. Enjoy!

Storage Instructions

Store using an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.

Freeze in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
