Meatball Appetizer
I love the convenience of making these meatball appetizers using frozen meatballs with only 4 ingredients as it saves so much time and effort when getting them ready.
The wonderful blend of meatballs and marinara sauce is always a crowd favorite, and the melted mozzarella forms a rich, gooey cheese layer that makes them irresistible.
You can whip up a batch up these meatball marinara appetizers with a moments notice for casual gatherings and watch them fly off the serving tray!
Ingredients
- Meatballs – frozen meatballs
- Marinara Sauce – use your favourite store bought marinara sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese – freshly shredded as it melts better
- Parsley – fresh parsley chopped adds a mild fresh herb flavor with a pop of color
I used toothpicks for easy serving and eating but you can use mini skewers, cocktail forks, mini plates, tortilla scoops or phyllo cups.
How To Make Meatball Marinara Appetizers
Step One – Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step Two – Bake the meatballs according to package directions. (We used Great Value, and preheated the oven to 350 degrees, and baked meatballs for 15 minutes)
Step Three – Chop the parsley.
Step Four – Remove the meatballs from the oven, and switch to broil.
Step Five – Spoon a little bit of marinara sauce over the meatballs, then top with cheese.
Sep Six – Broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly, watching closely to not burn them.
Step Seven – Remove the meatballs from the oven, top with parsley, and insert a toothpick into the center of each for easy handling.
Serve hot and Enjoy!
