  • Sweet corn, frozen – any frozen corn will work in this recipe
  • Butter, salted – we prefer to use salted butter. You can substitute unsalted butter, but you may need to season the corn with additional salt to taste
  • Honey
  • Cream Cheese – we use regular cream cheese or you could use the lightened-up version too
  • Salt & Black Pepper

How to Make Honey Butter Skillet Corn

Ready in 15 minutes, this effortless side dish recipe is best prepared in a heavy cast iron skillet.

STEP ONE – In a large skillet, melt together the butter and honey.

STEP TWO – Add in the frozen corn and stir over the medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes.

STEP THREE – Add in the cream cheese and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, to allow the cream cheese to melt.

STEP FOUR – Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Storage

You can store any leftovers covered in the fridge to 2 to 3 days and you can reheat is simply in the microwave in 30-second intervals or in a skillet of low-medium heat until heated through.

24 ounces of sweet corn, frozen

1/2 stick butter, salted

2 Tablespoons honey

4 ounces cream cheese

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt


Instructions

In a large skillet, melt together the butter and honey.

Add in the frozen corn and stir over the medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes.

Add in the cream cheese and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, to allow the cream cheese to melt.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
