Step by Step Instructions

Dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
Butter, sugar egg and vanilla in mixing bowl.
Dry mixture is added to the web mixture in mixing bowl.

STEP ONE – Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×9 pan and line with parchment paper.

STEP TWO – In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

STEP THREE – In a stand mixer, beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mix until smooth.

Oat are added to the dough along with chocolate chips.
Chocolate chip cookie dough is pressed into the bottom of baking dish.
Oreo cookies are added in a single layer on top of the chocolate chip cookie dough.

STEP FOUR – Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and oats.

STEP FIVE – Press dough evenly into the pan.

STEP SIX – Add Oreo cookies in a single layer on top.

Brownie layer is spread evenly on top of the Oreo cookie layer.

STEP NINE – Stir in cocoa mixture until thick. Fold in chocolate chips.

STEP TEN – Spread brownie batter evenly over Oreos.

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer

2 cups (10.6oz, 300g) all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon table salt

1 cup (8oz, 225g) unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup (5.3oz, 150g) brown sugar

1/2 cup (3.5oz, 100g) granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup (6.2oz, 175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup (1.8oz, 50g) large flake oats

For the Oreo Cookie Layer

12 double stuffed Oreo cookies (or any chocolate sandwich cookie)

For the Brownie Layer

2/3 cup (3.2oz, 90g) cocoa powder

1/2 cup (2.6oz, 75g) all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon table salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 cup (6oz, 175g) unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup (3.5oz, 100g) brown sugar

1/2 cup (3.5oz, 100g) granulated sugar

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1/2 cup (3.1oz, 88g) chocolate chips
