Ingredients You’ll Need

- 10 ounces pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken, tenderloins, cubed
- ¼ teaspoon coarse kosher salt, divided
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, divided
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Handy tip:
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature so that is does not curdle!!

Substitutions and additions
You can use any gluten-free products in place of any of the ingredients.
Use your favourite sturdy shaped pasta or vegetables that can hold onto the cream sauce.
Step By Step Instructions

STEP ONE – Cook the pasta according to the directions, which takes 9 minutes. While the pasta is cooking move forward with the recipe.
STEP TWO – In a large saute pan add 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Allow the butter to get hot, which will take 1-2 minutes. Do not let the butter get brown.
STEP THREE – Add the chicken, salt, and pepper to the saute pan over medium heat. Mix until the chicken is fully coated in the salt and pepper.
STEP FOUR – Cook one side of the chicken for 3-4 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until the juices run clear. You want an internal temperature of 165° F. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
STEP FIVE – To the saute pan add 3 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir for 1 minute.

STEP FIVE – Add the flour. Stir for 1 minute.
STEP SIX – Add the chicken broth. Stir for 1 minute or until thick.
STEP SEVEN – Add the heavy cream, parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and nutmeg. Mix for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce is thick.
STEP EIGHT – Taste to see if more salt and pepper is needed.
STEP NINE – Add the pasta and chicken to the sauté pan and mix until everything is coated.
STEP TEN – Sprinkle parsley and red pepper flakes on top. (optional)

You can make this with a jar of store bought Alfredo sauce for a quick and easy last minute dinner.
