Bacon Lettuce & Tomato Pinwheels With Cream Cheese – Easy Bite-Sized Sandwich Appetizer

Ideal for game days, family gatherings, or casual get-togethers, these BLT Pinwheels are quick to prep, easy to serve, and sure to disappear fast. Make them ahead for hassle-free entertaining and enjoy a bite of classic BLT flavors in every roll

Ingredients

Ingredients for BLT Pinwheels on counter.

3 large flour tortillas

4 oz cream cheese – softened

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 ripe avocado

Juice of ½ lime

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

4 slices cooked bacon – crumbled

1 large tomato – thinly sliced

3 to 4 fresh leafy lettuce leaves

Step by Step Instructions

Cream cheese in mixing bowl.
Gaucamole in mixing bowl.

STEP ONE – In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.

STEP TWO – In a separate bowl, mash the avocado. Add it to the mixing bowl along with lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Bacon is sprinkled on top of cream cheese mixture.

STEP THREE – Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the avocado-cream cheese mixture over the entire surface.

STEP FOUR – Sprinkle crumbled bacon evenly over the spread. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by tomato slices.

Tomatoes and lettuce is added to the top of the tortilla wrap.
Tortilla is rolled up on cutting board.

STEP FIVE – Roll the tortilla up tightly. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Place the rolled tortillas in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up – this helps with slicing.

STEP SIX – Remove from the freezer and slice into ½- to 1-inch pinwheels using a sharp knife. Wipe the blade clean between cuts for neat slices.

STEP SEVEN – Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

I don’t recommend storing leftover. These pinwheels are best served on the same day since the lettuce will wilt over time.
