- Water
- Romaine Lettuce
- Black Beans
- Corn – you can use canned corn, cooked fresh corn or thawed frozen corn
- Cherry Tomatoes – or substitute any variety of fresh tomatoes like red, pink or heirloom tomatoes
- Fiesta Cheese or your favorite cheddar cheese
- Tortilla strips – or subsitute crushed Doritos or nacho chips
- Jalapenos
- Fresh Cilantro
- Red Onion – or substitute a sweet onion
- Black Olives
- Salsa – use your favorite brand
- Sour Cream
- Green Onions
How to Make Taco Salad
Serving a crowd, this would be a great salad for your next potluck, cookout and family celebration.
STEP ONE – In a saute pan over medium heat add the ground beef. Cook for 6 to 9 minutes or until the juices run clear.
STEP TWO – Add the taco seasoning and water. Mix for 2 to 3 minutes.
STEP THREE- Remove the saute pan from the burner.
STEP FOUR – To your serving bowl add the remainder of the salad ingredients and the beef.
STEP FIVE – Add more salsa and sour cream if you want a creamier sauce with the salad.

1 pound ground beef (93%)
1 ounce taco seasoning packet
1/4 cup water
3 heads of romaine lettuce, cleaned, dried, shredded (6 cups)
1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup corn
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup fiesta cheese, shredded
1 cup tortilla strips
1/8 cup jalapenos, sliced
1/8 cup cilantro, chopped
1/8 cup red onion, diced
1/8 cup black olives, sliced
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
3 green onions, chopped
