Homemade Taco Seasoning

This delicious Homemade Taco Seasoning can be added to tacos, burritos or homemade chili. It’s also a wonderful food gift to package up for someone who loves to cook!

Today, I’m sharing with you a very simple recipe for a delicious seasoning blend that tastes amazing in burritos, tacos or homemade chili. This was one of my most popular products when I sold homemade gourmet foods many years ago. This mix makes a great gift or for your own pantry.

You will love that there are no added preservatives and knowing exactly what is going into this recipe.

I recommend adding 3 tbsp. of this blend to one pound of ground beef for burritos or tacos. You may want to add a little more to spice it up even more. How to make this Southwest Seasoning Recipe

In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir well to combine. Yes! It’s that easy. Store in a glass jar in the pantry for up to six months.

Once you use this mix you won’t want to go back to the store-bought packages because it’s that good!

This delicious spice blend can be added to tacos, burritos or homemade chili. A wonderful food gift to package up for someone who loves to cook!


Ingredients

1/3 cup chili powder

1/4 cup dehydrated minced onion

3 tbsp. dehydrated minced garlic

1 tbsp. ground cumin

2 and 1/2 tsp. dried oregano

2 tsp. pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. hot pepper flakes

1/2 tsp. paprika


Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and stir well to combine. 

2. Store in glass jar for up to six months.

Makes approximately 1 cup.

Use 3 to 4 tbsp. to season ground beef for burritos, tacos or homemade chili.
