STEP ONE – Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin tray with nonstick cooking spray.

STEP TWO – Wash the apples, cut them in half lengthwise, and remove the cores.

STEP THREE – Place the apples cut-side down and slice them thinly widthwise.

STEP FOUR – Add the thinly sliced apples to a bowl and toss with the juice of half a lemon.

STEP FIVE – Add 1–2 teaspoons of sugar and a small pinch of cinnamon to the apples. Toss until well combined. Set aside the remaining sugar and cinnamon.

Puffed pastry is brushed with butter.
Cinnamon sugar is sprinkled on top of the buttered puff pastry then cut into strips with a pizza cutter.

STEP SIX – Melt the butter and brush it over one side of each puff pastry sheet.

STEP SEVEN – Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered side of the puff pastry.

STEP EIGHT – Cut each puff pastry sheet into six even strips.

Sliced apples are placed in a single layer down the length of the cut strip of puff pastry.
The other half of the strip is folded over part way on top of the apples.

STEP NINE – Arrange a few apple slices along each strip of puff pastry, then fold the pastry over so the apple slices are tucked between the layers.

Description

These easy Puff Pastry Apple Roses look impressive but take just 15 minutes to prep! Made with fresh apples, flaky puff pastry and cinnamon sugar, they’re a beautiful fall dessert that’s surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients

1 box (2 sheets) of Pepperidge Farms puff pastry sheets

3 red apples (I used Fuji apples)

1/2 lemon, juice

Notes

Store leftover Puff Pastry Apple Roses in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

For the best texture, reheat them in a 350°F oven for 5–10 minutes, until warmed through and the pastry is crisp again. The microwave will work, but the puff pastry will be softer.

If using powdered sugar, add it after reheating and just before serving.
