Ingredients You’ll Need

- 3 lb. sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp. fresh sage, minced
- 1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, minced
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
Step By Step Instructions

STEP ONE – Preheat the oven to 400°F.
STEP TWO – Scrub the sweet potatoes well, then carefully pierce them all over with a knife.
STEP THREE – Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes, or until tender.
STEP FOUR – Allow the potatoes to cool until they’re comfortable to handle. Peel them, then transfer to a large mixing bowl.


STEP FIVE – In a medium saucepan, heat the butter, cream, sage, rosemary, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until warm and steamy, stirring occasionally.
STEP SIX – Gradually add the warm cream mixture to the potatoes while mashing by hand. Add a little at a time until the potatoes reach your desired consistency; you may not need all of the mixture.

STEP SEVEN – Season with pepper to taste and additional salt, if needed.
STEP EIGHT – Transfer the mashed sweet potatoes to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh rosemary, sage, extra butter, or your favorite toppings.
