Ingredients

  • Mini Mozzarellas
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Fresh Cucumber
  • Olives
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Pretzels
  • Sugar Eyes
  • Cheddar Cheese Slices
  • Parsley Leaves
  • Sesame Seeds – black sesame seeds

Step By Step Instructions

MAKE THE PENGUINS: form two circles of cheddar cheese using the nozzle of a culinary syringe. (You can also use a clean fondant lid). Cut out small sections from each circle. Form the sections into a beak. Tip a toothpick into the cheddar circle for the legs, a mini mozzarella for the belly, an olive cut in half for the wings, and a whole olive for the head.  Make an incision on the head and insert a beak made of cheddar. The penguin is ready. Assemble the second penguin in the same way.

MAKE THE BOW: Cut two large triangles from the flat part of the sweet pepper and two thin long strips with shaped edges. Add a small square as well.

MAKE THE SNOWMAN: With two (or you could use three) mini mozzarellas and a parsley leaf (scarf) between them. Place a strip of mozzarella and half of a cherry tomato on top. Line the eyes, mouth and buttons with black sesame seeds, add a nose made from a piece of sweet pepper.

MAKE THE CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT: Top half a cherry tomato and a slice of cheddar onto a toothpick. You can use yellow colored cocktail tomatoes for variety.

MAKE THE REINDEER & CHRISTMAS TREE: Cut two round slices of cucumber, blot them of excess juice. Lay out the antlers – pretzels, sugar eyes and a slice of tomato – nose. For the Christmas tree, use a vegetable peeler to cut long thin slices of cucumber. Pinch them onto a toothpick in an accordion and decorate with a cherry star. At the bottom, add a cherry tomato stem.

Arrange your appetizers on a plate, serve and prepare to be applauded and complimented! Enjoy!

These appetizers are best made fresh and stored in the for 6 to 8 hours to be enjoyed on the same day.

7 mini mozzarellas

4 cherry tomatoes

1/2 fresh cucumber

4 olives

1/3 red bell pepper

4 pretzels

4 sugar eyes

1 cheddar cheese slice

2 parsley leaves

1/8 teaspoon black sesame seeds.


Instructions
