Caprese Salad Skewers Appetizers

Having good finger foods on hand allows everyone to mix and mingle while enjoying finger brunch foods.

Not only do they look great, but the combination of juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh fragrant basil, and tangy balsamic glaze makes them a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • ½ cup mozzarella pearls
  • 24 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

For variations you can add some prosciutto, drizzle with pesto, or use flavored mozzarella for a different twist!

How To Make Caprese Skewers

STEP ONE – On a skewer place 2 small pearls of mozzarella.

STEP TWO – Then add a basil leaf. You can fold it double if it’s too big.

STEP THREE – Then add a cherry tomato.

STEP FOUR – Then add another basil leaf.

STEP FIVE – And add 2 small mozzarella pearls again.

STEP SIX – Repeat until you run out of ingredients.

STEP SEVEN – Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with black pepper to taste. Enjoy!

Storage Instructions

Store the skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 3 days with the basil intact. If you remove the basil, they can last 4 to 5 days.
