Slow Cooker Taco Meat With Ground Beef
This easy crockpot dinner is perfect for feeding the family or meal prepping for the week. Serve it with your favorite toppings for taco night, or keep it in the fridge for quick and delicious lunches and dinners.

Ingredients You’ll Need

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, diced
3-5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup salsa
1 ½ (1 oz) packets mild taco seasoning packet
Ingredient Substitutions
Instead of ground beef, you can use ground turkey or even ground chicken.
Step by Step Instructions

STEP ONE – Place the raw ground beef into the slow cooker pot. Top with onions, garlic, salsa, and seasoning packet.
STEP TWO – Cover with lid and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours. Check halfway through cooking time to ensure the meat is not burning. You can give it a quick mix and use a wooden spoon to break up the meat into smaller pieces.

STEP THREE – Once cooked, stir the meat to combine. Drain any excess liquid if needed.
STEP FOUR – Serve the meat in tacos, taco salads, burritos, or in nachos with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
Storage Instructions
Allow to cool completely before covering. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3-4 days.
