Ingredients

  • Whole milk
  • Vanilla extract – pure vanilla extract if available
  • White chocolate – I used Ghirardelli white chocolate chopped

Substitutions

This recipe will still taste much better using white chocolate chips than using a store bought white chocolate hot cocoa mix.

Step by Step Instructions

STEP ONE – Warm milk on medium heat in a saucepan for 5 minutes, careful not to bring to a boil.

Vanilla extract is added to the milk in pan.

STEP TWO – Add vanilla and chocolate to warm milk and continue to heat stirring regularly until chocolate is melted.

STEP THREE – Pour hot chocolate into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream.
