I love this chicken bacon ranch pasta as the zesty ranch sauce ties everything together with a comforting creamy texture making it family favorite dinner.

The savory bacon adds a crispy layer that combines with the gooey melted cheese and sour cream, creating a chicken casserole with wonderful rich and decadent flavors.

Ingredients

  • Cooked Chicken – shredded, make your own or use rotisserie chicken
  • Penne Pasta – cooked or use your favourite pasta shape like rigatoni or ziti
  • Cooked Bacon – crumbled
  • Ranch Dressing
  • Sour Cream
  • Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Colby Jack Cheese – shredded
  • Mozzarella Cheese – shredded
  • Green Onions – optional chopped garnish

How To Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole

STEP ONE – Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Ranch dressing and sour cream in white bowl.
Garlic poweder and pepper are added to the sour cream mixture.

STEP TWO – In a large bowl, mix the ranch dressing, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper until combined.

Chicken, bacon and pasta are added to the bowl.
Mixture is spread into a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

STEP THREE – Add the shredded chicken, cooked pasta, and half of the crumbled bacon. Stir until evenly coated.

STEP FOUR – Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Shredded cheese is sprinkled on top of casserole in baking dish.
Bacon is sprinkled on top of casserole.

STEP FIVE – Sprinkle the Colby Jack cheese and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

STEP SIX – Top with the remaining crumbled bacon.

STEP SEVEN – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

STEP EIGHT – Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with green onions if desired.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To Reheat: Warm in the oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or microwave until heated through.

To Freeze: Assemble the casserole without baking and freeze tightly wrapped for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before baking.

3 cups cooked chicken, shredded

12 ounces penne pasta, cooked

8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup ranch dressing

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Green onions for garnish, optional


Instructions
