Melt In Your Mouth Crockpot Beef Brisket

This BBQ beef brisket recipe is a favorite for sandwiches but is equally delicious served with rice, mashed potatoes, and a side of vegetables for dinner.

When making these irresistible sandwiches I suggest using fresh hamburger buns or brioche buns with a good helping of coleslaw or crispy onions, extra bbq sauce and your favorite pickles.

The best sides to pair with it are French fries, potato chips, corn on the cob, Mexican Street Corn, Mexican street corn pasta salad, cornbread or red potato salad.

Sandra Best Tips

  • Cooking the brisket low and slow helps achieve a tender texture. If the meat is still tough when you check it, simply return it to the slow cooker and let it cook for an additional hour.
  • When slicing beef brisket, always cut against the grain to shorten the muscle fibers, making the meat more tender. Slicing with the grain can result in tougher, harder-to-chew pieces.
  • You can use the dry rub provided in the recipe, a store-bought premade dry rub, or choose to create your own custom blend of seasonings.

Storage And Reheating Instructions

Allow to cool before covering. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

Reheat in a baking dish in a 325°F oven with some beef broth or bbq sauce to keep it moist for 20 minutes or until warmed through. Or in a microwave-safe dish with some broth or bbq sauce to prevent drying out using 30 second intervals in the microwave until warmed through.
