Sloppy Joe Bake

I love that you can prep it ahead of time and bake it when you’re ready, making it a stress-free, warm, and hearty meal—perfect for game day or a busy weeknight dinner.
My teenagers love this sloppy Joe slider casserole served with potato chips or my parmesan air fryer fries or golden air fryer tater tots and my easy stovetop macaroni and cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef, lean and thawed
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 15-ounce can or jar Sloppy Joe sauce
- ½ cup water
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 package slider rolls, sliced
- 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped is optional
Substitutions: You can substitute the ground beef for ground turkey or even ground chicken. Use 2 cups of homemade sloppy Joe sauce instead of the canned sauce. If you want you can use larger buns instead of the slider rolls.
How To Make Sloppy Joe Sliders Casserole With Sliders
Step One – Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish with non-stock cooking spray.
Step Two – Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain grease if necessary and mix in diced onion, continue heating until softened, about 5 minutes.
Step Three – Mix in sloppy joe sauce and water, continue heating for 3 minutes.
Step Four – Pour into prepared baking dish, top with American cheese slices.
Step Five – Separate tops and bottoms of slider rolls, then top the cheese slices with rolls, cut side down.
Step Six – Top sliders with shredded cheddar cheese.
Step Seven – Bake uncovered for 13-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and slider rolls are beginning to toast.
Step Eight – Top with fresh parsley and serve. Enjoy!
Storage And Reheating Instructions
To store, cover with wrap or foil or use an airtight coating and place in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Reheat individual servings in the microwave with a microwave-safe dish for 1 ½ to 2 minutes or the pan of leftovers in a preheated 350°F oven for 12-14 minutes or until heated through.
