This Sloppy Joe Casserole recipe combines the bold, tangy-sweet flavors of classic sloppy Joes in a convenient, easy-to-make casserole for a quick and satisfying meal. Cheese topped slider buns, melted cheese, and a rich, savory meat base make this dish a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef, lean and thawed

1 medium yellow onion, diced

15-ounce can or jar Sloppy Joe sauce

1/2 cup water

8 slices American cheese

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped is optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish with non-stock cooking spray.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain grease if necessary and mix in diced onion, continue heating until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Mix in sloppy joe sauce and water, continue heating for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour into prepared baking dish, top with American cheese slices.
  5. Separate tops and bottoms of slider rolls, then top the cheese slices with rolls, cut side down.
  6. Top sliders with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 13-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and slider rolls are beginning to toast.
  8. Top with fresh parsley (optional) and serve. Enjoy!
