  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs lean ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 29 oz can tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 (10 oz) cans Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried coriander
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon all spice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1-2 dash hot sauce, to taste
  • Chopped green onions or cilantro, for topping

Step By Step instructions

STEP ONE – Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with oil. Break apart the ground turkey and cook until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease. Transfer ground turkey into the Crockpot.

Remaining ingredients for chili are added to the top of the ground turkey in crockpot.

STEP TWO – Add the onion, garlic, tomato sauce, beans, diced tomatoes and green chilies, frozen corn, and seasonings.

STEP THREE – Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until sauce is thickened.

STEP FOUR – Add hot sauce to desired spice level. Taste and adjust other seasonings as needed. Top with green onions or cilantro and serve with additional sides or toppings you like.
