Description
Colourful and brightly flavoured, this is the best peach mango salsa! Delicious with tortilla chips or as a side dish for pork chops, any salmon recipe, cilantro lime chicken breasts and it’s also perfect with fish tacos. This simple salsa recipeis so good that you can eat it plain, with a fork!
Ingredients
3 large peaches (or 6 small ones)
2 mangoes, chopped
1 avocado, chopped
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/3 cup red bell pepper
1 lime, juiced (you should end up with about 1/4 cup)
3 Tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
2 and 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin
3 teaspoons honey
Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Chop fruits and vegetables.
- Put all ingredients into a large bowl.
- Stir well to combine.
- Chill for 30 minutes or overnight. The longer that you chill the salsa, the more that the flavors will combine for a delicious-tasting salsa.
Notes
- Add-ins and Substitutions:
- Jalapeno peppers
- Green onion could be substituted for the red onion, or add in two slice onions to the recipe.
- Fresh tomatoes – one to two fresh chopped tomatoes are a wonderful addition of flavor and texture.
- Lime zest – before you juice the limes, zest some of the lime and sprinkle into the salsa.
- Looking for a more spicy salsa? Add in one finely chopped habanero peppers to give this salsa a little kick! (Be sure to wash your hands well after)!
Chopped fresh pinepple – a few chunks is delicious in this recipe!
Storage Instructions: Store any leftover salsa in a covered airtight container for up to two days.
