They are the ultimate bite-sized pretzel snack that satisfies cravings for both sweet and salty like my Christmas popcorn and Christmas Chex mix!
Ingredients
- Pretzel Snaps
- Rolo Candy – I used dark salted caramel but you can use milk chocolate as well
- M&M Candy – red and green holiday M&M’s or use your favorite M&M colors
- Nonpareil Sprinkles – are an optional ingredient but add a great festive holiday touch
Substitutions & Variations – You can use mini twists or waffle rounds in place of the pretzel snaps. Any flavor of Rolo will work, or use mini peanut butter cups or soft caramels instead. Make the pretzel bites with or without the holiday sprinkles.
Recipe tip!
Easily adjust the recipe by halving, doubling, or tripling the quantities based on how much you will need. Working in small batches helps to ensure you have enough time to finish decorating before the outer chocolate hardens.
How To Make Easy Rolo Pretzel Bites
STEP ONE – -Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
STEP TWO – Place the pretzels onto the tray in a single layer. Then add a Rolo onto each pretzel. Transfer the tray into the oven and bake for 2-3 minutes, just until the chocolate softens but does not fully melt and flatten out. (I usually do 2 minutes if the chocolates are room temperature and I do 3 minutes if the chocolates were refrigerated.)
STEP THREE – Remove the tray from the oven and then begin decorating by gently pressing one M&M onto the tops of each Rolo. Work quickly before the chocolate sets.
STEP FOUR – Once the M&M’s are on, you can add the nonpareil sprinkles if desired.
STEP FIVE – Allow the chocolates to set before serving. You can let it set at room temperature for about 20 minutes or refrigerate it for 10 minutes to speed up the process.
Enjoy!
