STEP ONE – Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 

STEP TWO – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick

STEP THREE – Cut the bacon strips in half and place on the baking sheet. Do not overlap them.

STEP FOUR – In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar and black pepper and mix until well combined.

STEP FIVE – Brush the mixture over the bacon on both sides.

STEP SIX – Bake for 18-20 minutes in the oven

Tip – Kick Up The Heat!

Add some heat by adding in 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper!

Storage & Freezing Instructions

Leftover candied bacon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To restore its crispiness, simply reheat it in the oven for a few minutes

To freeze cooked bacon, lay the slices out on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze them until they are solid. Once frozen, transfer the slices to a freezer bag. The bacon can be stored this way for up to three months.

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

Dash of black pepper


Instructions
