Description

This Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon recipe offers the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. Bacon is generously coated with real maple syrup, brown sugar, and a pinch of black pepper, resulting in caramelized, candied bacon that’s indulgent and unforgettable!

Ingredients

1/2 lbs. bacon

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

Dash of black pepper

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick

Cut the bacon strips in half and place on the baking sheet. Do not overlap them.

In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar and black pepper and mix until well combined.

Brush the mixture over the bacon on both sides.

Bake for 18-20 minutes in the oven

Notes

Storage & Freezing Instructions:

Leftover candied bacon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To restore its crispiness, simply reheat it in the oven for a few minutes

To freeze cooked bacon, lay the slices out on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze them until they are solid. Once frozen, transfer the slices to a freezer bag. The bacon can be stored this way for up to three months.
