Description
Watergate Salad is a delightful dessert treat with a creamy, fluffy base that complements the fruity, tangy pineapple, soft marshmallows and crunchy pistachio topping. Its festive green appearance with cherries on top makes it a crowd-pleasing recipe for holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving or potlucks.
Ingredients
1 (8 oz.) container of Cool Whip
1 (20 oz) can of Crushed Pineapple (reserve all juice)
2 cups of Mini Marshmallows
1 (3.4 oz) box of Pistachio Pudding Mix
1/4 cup of Pistachios (crushed)
1 (10 oz.) jar of Maraschino Cherries (cut in half)
Instructions
- Start by placing your cool whip, crushed pineapple, and marshmallows into a large mixing bowl.
- Take your reserved pineapple juice (about ½ a cup), add water if needed, and mix with your pudding mix. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Add your pudding mixture to your cool whip mixture and mix until very well combined.
- Transfer to a serving dish and top with pistachios and cherries. You can add additional marshmallows if desired.
