Pistachio Fluff Salad

Description

Watergate Salad is a delightful dessert treat with a creamy, fluffy base that complements the fruity, tangy pineapple, soft marshmallows and crunchy pistachio topping. Its festive green appearance with cherries on top makes it a crowd-pleasing recipe for holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving or potlucks.


Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) container of Cool Whip

1 (20 oz) can of Crushed Pineapple (reserve all juice)

2 cups of Mini Marshmallows

1 (3.4 oz) box of Pistachio Pudding Mix

1/4 cup of Pistachios (crushed)

1 (10 oz.) jar of Maraschino Cherries (cut in half)


Instructions

  1. Start by placing your cool whip, crushed pineapple, and marshmallows into a large mixing bowl. 
  2. Take your reserved pineapple juice (about ½ a cup), add water if needed, and mix with your pudding mix. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes. 
  3. Add your pudding mixture to your cool whip mixture and mix until very well combined.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and top with pistachios and cherries. You can add additional marshmallows if desired. 
  5. Serve and enjoy! This classic recipe is sure to be a favorite! 

Notes

Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
