Ingredients
1 - Boxed cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 cup water
8 oz cream cheese
Candy Melts
Pink gel food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13×9 baking pan and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cake mix, egg, water, and oil.
- Add in food coloring and whisk until well incorporated.
- Pour cake batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-35 minutes.
- While cake bakes set out your cream cheese so it can warm up.
- Let the cake cool for 15-20 min.
- Crumble cake into a large bowl and add cream cheese.
- Beat with a mixer until cream cheese is well incorporated and a dough texture has formed.
- Shape dough into 1 in balls, and then shape balls into hearts.
- Melt your pink candy melts per package instructions.
- Dip each heart into pink candy melts and set on parchment paper.
- Place a few red and white candy melts into sandwich bags and melt in the microwave, squishing the bag to get all the chunks melted.
- Cut a tiny piece of the corner off the baggie and drizzle red and white on the corner of each covered heart.
