Ingredients
1 and 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon, plus 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (15 oz) can green beans, drained
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
2 and 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 to 3 cups of frozen tater tots
Salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Lightly grease an 8 or 9-inch baking dish and set aside. (casserol dish should be at least 2 inches deep)
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic powder. Cook the ground beef until it is completely cooked and no longer pink. Drain excess fat
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce. Taste, then and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Evenly spread the ground beef mixture in the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the meat mixture.
- Next, drain the green beans and sprinkle them on top of the soup mixture. Season the green beans with a little salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Finally top with the frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake in 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Tater tots should be golden brown.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Storage: Cool casserole completely, then transfer to an airtight container. Store in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave in 30 second intervals until heated through.
How to freeze tater tot casserole
Freeze before baking – Follow instructions as directed, except use a freezer safe aluminum pan. Tightly wrap the pan with a layer or plastic wrap, followed by a layer of aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 3 months.
To cook : Thaw the tater tot casserole in the fridge overnight and cook as directed.

Place cooled leftover casserole in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw completely before reheating.
