Description

Ingredients

1 lb sausage, uncooked

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

1 3/4 cups Bisquick baking mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel.
  3. Stir in the Bisquick baking mix and shredded cheddar cheese until the mixture is fully combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through. 
  6. Top with shredded cheese (optional) and return to oven until melted. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Storage and reheating instructions:

Store using an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

Reheat smaller portions in the microwave using a microwave-safe dish with 30 second intervals until heated through. For larger portions reheat in a baking dish or baking sheet covered with foil in a 350°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through.

Note: It is optional to top with extra shredded cheese and place back into the oven on a baking sheet for 2-3 minutes to melt.
