Description

These easy Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups are a fun no-bake fall dessert made with layers of Oreo crumbs and creamy chocolate peanut butter pudding. Topped with coconut, pumpkin candies and jack-o’-lantern chocolates, they’re perfect for Halloween parties, fall gatherings and pumpkin patch celebrations.

Ingredients

3.9 oz chocolate pudding mix

2 cups cold whole milk

¼ cup peanut butter

8 oz tub Cool Whip, thawed

13.29 oz Oreos (33 cookies), crushed to crumbs

1 cup toasted coconut shreds

8 Ghirardelli jack o lantern chocolates

16 mellowcreme pumpkin candies

Instructions

  1. Add the pudding mix and cold milk to a large bowl. Whisk for 2 minutes, until smooth and no lumps remain.
  2. Stir in the peanut butter until well incorporated. Set aside for 5 minutes to allow the pudding to set and thicken.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip until combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Divide the ingredients among the dessert cups, layering the Oreo crumbs and prepared pudding, then finishing each cup with another layer of Oreo crumbs.
  5. Top each cup with 2 tablespoons of toasted coconut shreds, 1 Ghirardelli jack-o’-lantern chocolate and 2 mellowcreme pumpkin candies. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Change up the pudding: Try vanilla, cheesecake, butterscotch, pistachio or Oreo pudding. Nutella or cookie butter can also be used instead of peanut butter.
  • Customize the Oreos: Use your favorite Oreo flavor, including chocolate, peanut butter or seasonal varieties.
  • Decorate your way: Tint coconut with green or orange gel food coloring, or add candy eyes and bones for a spookier Halloween look.
  • Easy substitutions: Homemade whipped topping can replace Cool Whip. Press the jack-o’-lantern chocolates firmly into the Oreo crumbs and use coconut behind them for extra support if needed.
