Pumpkin Cheesball

Description

This pumpkin cheese ball combines a blend of cheese, ranch seasoning and green onions that is shaped like a pumpkin and coated with shredded cheese.  A fun, festive appetizer for Thanksgiving and other fall parties. 


Ingredients

16 ounces cream cheese

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 Tablespoons ranch seasoning

3 green onions, sliced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 bell pepper stem

Optional: twine to create pumpkin shape


Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, spread the cream cheese around to soften.
  2. Add 1 cup of shredded cheese, ranch seasoning mix, and green onions. Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix until well combined and ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Form the cheese mixture into a ball.
  5. Spread out a piece of plastic wrap, and add a sprinkle of cheese for the bottom of the cheeseball.
  6. Press remaining shredded cheese into the sides of the ball until it is completely covered.
  7. Wrap the ball in the plastic wrap.
  8. Use baker’s twine to tie 3 strands around the pumpkin to form a pumpkin shape, if desired.
  9. Before serving, top the cheeseball with the bell pepper stem.

Notes

Wrap and store any leftover cheese ball in the fridge for 5 to 7 days.
