Pineapple Dump Cake (Cobbler)

Description

This easy Pineapple Dump Cake recipe is a quick dessert made with only four ingredients. This is the easiest cake recipe you will ever make! It’s the perfect sweet treat with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and maraschino cherries on top!


Ingredients

2 cans (2o oz.) crushed pineapple

1 yellow cake mix - 15.25 oz.(or white cake mix)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Spread crushed pineapple, with juice in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top of the crushed pineapple. 
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar over the cake mix. 
  5. Melt 1 cup of butter and pour evenly over top. 
  6. Bake in 350°F oven for 50 to 55 minutes until light golden brown on top and bubbling at the edges with pineapple. 
  7. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. 

Notes

Storage Instructions: Cover in plastic wrap and store in refrigerator for up to three days.

Variations: sprinkle 1 cup of chopped pecans following the brown sugar mixture before baking.

Ingredients Substitutions: you can use yellow, white or lemon cake mix for this recipe.  Even butter pecan tastes delicious!
