Description

Fresh green beans in a creamy mushroom sauce, topped with shredded cheddar and crispy French’s onion rings, this classic holiday side dish is a must for every holiday dinner.

Ingredients

1/3 cup butter

1/2 cup diced onion

1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

2 cups sliced fresh green beans

3 cups chicken broth

1 10-1/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup

1 2.8 oz. can French’s Fried Onion Rings

Pinch salt and pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2.  Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  5. To the skillet, add green beans, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, pepper and 1/3 cup of the French fried onions. Stir to combine.
  6. Spread mixture in prepared 2 quart baking dish.
  7. Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and continue cooking for 10 more minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining fried onion rings and enjoy.
