Description
This simple Jalapeño Popper Stuffed Mushroom appetizer recipe has a delicious creamy, cheesy filling packed with jalapeños and topped with crispy bacon. These bite-sized appetizers are perfect for game day food or festive Christmas party food!
Ingredients
8 oz mushrooms, with stems removed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 tsp minced garlic
3 tbsp bacon pieces
1 large jalapeno, finely diced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Chop the jalapeno. (keep some seeds if you want these a little bit spicy)
- Wash and remove the stems from the mushrooms.
- Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, bacon, and jalapeno to a bowl, and stir to combine.
- Place the mushrooms in the baking dish, and stuff some of the mixture into each one.
- Transfer the dish to the oven, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
Storage instructions:
Stuffed mushrooms are best enjoyed fresh and warm but if you have leftovers store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven on a baking sheet for 10 to 15 minutes or in the microwave using 30 second intervals until warmed through.
