Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Mushrooms

Description

This simple Jalapeño Popper Stuffed Mushroom appetizer recipe has a delicious creamy, cheesy filling packed with jalapeños and topped with crispy bacon. These bite-sized appetizers are perfect for game day food or festive Christmas party food!


Ingredients

8 oz mushrooms, with stems removed

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 tsp minced garlic

3 tbsp bacon pieces

1 large jalapeno, finely diced


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Chop the jalapeno. (keep some seeds if you want these a little bit spicy)
  3. Wash and remove the stems from the mushrooms.
  4. Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, bacon, and jalapeno to a bowl, and stir to combine.
  5. Place the mushrooms in the baking dish, and stuff some of the mixture into each one.
  6. Transfer the dish to the oven, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Storage instructions:

Stuffed mushrooms are best enjoyed fresh and warm but if you have leftovers store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

Reheat in a 350°F oven on a baking sheet for 10 to 15 minutes or in the microwave using 30 second intervals until warmed through.
