Description

Everyone needs a good House Salad recipe in their back pocket. You know when you go to a restaurant and enjoy a delicious tossed salad that you devoir because it is so good!! This is that easy salad recipe to make in your own home. Also the perfect house salad for a crowd to make with company coming and for potlucks.


Ingredients

¼ cup avocado oil

¼ cup red wine vinegar

¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard

¼ teaspoon honey

⅛ teaspoon coarse kosher salt

⅛ teaspoon black pepper

⅛ teaspoon garlic powder

Salad Ingredients

3 romaine hearts, roughly chopped

2 cups iceberg lettuce, roughly chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced

1 cup cucumber, sliced

1 cup croutons

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

¼ cup red onion, sliced

2.1 ounces / 12 slices bacon crumbles


Instructions

  1. In a bowl add the vinaigrette ingredients. Use a fork to whisk the ingredients together. Taste to see if you would like more oil, vinegar, or honey. Set aside. 
  2. In a large bowl add the salad ingredients. 
  3. Drizzle the dressing on top of the salad. 

Notes

Storage instructions:

You can keep the undressed salad in the fridge for up to 3-4 days using an airtight container. If you dress the salad with the dressing the lettuce will wilt after it sits in the fridge.
