Description

These Fall-Off-The-Bone Oven Baked Ribs are cooked low and slow, ensuring fork-tender delicious ribs every single time. No fussing with a smoker or bbq with this easy rib dinner recipe baked in the comfort of your kitchen with only 10 minutes of prep time!

Ingredients

1 slab baby back pork ribs

3 Tablespoons dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/8 teaspoon chili powder

Favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
  2. In a small bowl combine all the dry ingredients.  Set aside.
  3. Unwrap ribs. Using a small knife, remove the thin membrane along the back side of the ribs. A paper towel will help get a hold of the membrane.
  4. Next, rub half of the dry mixture on the back side of the ribs.  Flip them over and place on a sheet of aluminum foil, rub in the remaining mixture on the top of the ribs.  Wrap them in aluminum foil.
  5. Coat a 12 x 15 baking pan with non-stick spray and line with aluminum foil (for easier clean-up). Place a cooling rack on top (for air circulation).  Place wrapped ribs on rack and place in the oven.
  6. Cook for 3 hours.
  7. Remove from oven and carefully unwrap the top of the foil.
  8. Change oven setting to broil.
  9. Brush the tops of the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce. Place ribs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes.  Watch CAREFULLY  because they can quickly go from crispy to burnt.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:

Store leftovers either in an airtight container or wrapped in aluminum foil.

Ribs reheat nicely on a foil lined pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. You can also reheat them in the microwave or air fryer.
