Description

Made with seven simple ingredients, this thick, creamy, sweet Homemade Pumpkin Butter takes only 30 minutes to make and is delicious spread on morning toast or for using in your favorite fall baking recipe.


Ingredients

15 oz can Pumpkin Puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
3/4 cup apple juice
2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar


Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan of medium high heat, place all of the ingredients and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat.
  2. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes or until the mixture has thickened.
  3. Place is mason jars and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Storage Instructions: Store cooled pumpkin butter in mason jars or plastic storage containers in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Freezing Instructions: Place leftover pumpkin butter in an airtight container and freeze for up to 6 months.  Thaw completely before serving.
