Description

This creepy Oreo Spiders recipe captures the spooky fun and creativity of Halloween. A classic Oreo cookie is decorated crazy candy eyeballs, crawly biscuit sticks legs with a yummy chocolate topping. They are a surefire Halloween-themed party hit!

Ingredients

16 Double Stuf Oreo cookies

2 (2.47 oz) boxes Pocky sticks

10 ounce package dark chocolate melting wafers

32 candy eyeballs

Instructions

Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and set aside. Depending on how many Oreos spiders you make, you may need more baking trays.

Cut the Pocky sticks for the legs.
I sliced the exposed pretzel piece off and then cut the Pocky in half.

Separate the Oreo cookies.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate until smooth. Microwave on a low or defrost setting in 30-second increments and stir it every time you check.

Add 4 Pocky pieces for the legs on each side.

Add a little chocolate to the middle of the cookies, to help hold the legs in place and secure the top cookie.

Then top with another separated Oreo piece.

Spread a small spoonful of melted chocolate evenly on top of the Oreo spider.

Place two candy eyes, or three, or more on the lower half center of the top cookie. Repeat with the remaining Oreos.

Allow to set completely before serving. To speed up the process, you can refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until the chocolate is set.
