Description
Air fryer baked potatoes turn out perfectly crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. They cook quicker than traditional oven potatoes and make an easy comfort food side dish that’s ideal for loading up with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
4 medium russet potatoes
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Sprinkle pepper
Optional Garnish and flavoring
Butter (optional)
sour cream (optional)
2 Tablespoons chives (optional)
Instructions
- Scrub potatoes under cold running water then thoroughly dry with a towel.
- Poke the top of the potato five or six times with a sharp paring knife. Rub with oil and sprinkle all over with salt.
- Add the potatoes to the air fryer basket.
- Cook the potatoes in air fryer at 400°F for 40 to 50 minutes, rotating after 30 minutes. Test them with a fork. The fork should easily slide through to the center. Small potatoes will take less time and larger potatoes may take longer.
- Carefully transfer the potatoes to a plate and serve immediately.
