Ingredients
4 lbs country style pork ribs
2 onions, sliced
12 oz can coke
1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, divided
2 tablespoons brown sugar, for a stickier glaze
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to desired spice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the pork ribs and onions into crockpot.
- Add the coke, 1 cup BBQ sauce, brown sugar, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the ribs and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 6-8 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Optional step: Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Lightly grease with cooking spray and lay ribs in a single layer. Brush with remaining sauce and then broil for a few minutes until sauce browns and caramelizes.
