Description

This easy to prepare Christmas Tree Oreos recipe makes a fun and festive holiday cookie treat with a few simple ingredients. These adorable Oreo cookies decorated like Christmas trees are perfect for sharing at holiday parties, giving as gifts or a cheerful addition to the Christmas dessert platter.

Ingredients

12 Oreo cookies

1 cup green candy melts

1/2 cup white candy melts

12 Star sprinkles

1 tsp nonpareils sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Melt the white candy melts according to the package instructions until smooth and creamy.
  2. Melt the green candy melts in a separate bowl, also until smooth.
  3. Dip the bottom of each Oreo into the white candy melts, ensuring it’s fully coated at the bottom only. Gently tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess candy melt.
  4. Place the coated Oreos onto a baking sheet or plate.
  5. Transfer the melted green candy melts to a piping bag.
  6. Drizzle the green candy melts over the top of each Oreo in a zigzag pattern to create the look of a Christmas tree.
  7. While the green candy coating is still wet, place a star sprinkle at the top of each tree.
  8. Sprinkle the nonpareils sprinkles onto the trees to decorate.
  9. Allow the cookies to set completely. You can speed up this process by placing the baking sheet or plate in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  10. Once set, carefully remove the Christmas tree Oreos from the surface.
