Description

This easy Barbecue Chicken Sliders Recipe features a sweet, tangy bbq sauce that compliments the chicken and Hawaiian rolls perfectly. This simple slider recipe has so much flavor from the sauce, melted cheese, red onions and a delicious garlic butter topping. Ingredients

1 1/2 pound chicken, shredded and seasoned with salt and pepper

1 cup barbecue sauce

1/4 cup salted butter, melted

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

12 Hawaiian rolls, sliced

12 slices provolone cheese

1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon dried minced onion

1 tablespoon parsley


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350° F. 

In a bowl add the chicken and barbecue sauce. Mix until combined. Set aside. 

In a bowl add the butter, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.  Mix until combined. Set aside. 

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the bottom of the Hawaiian rolls on the baking sheet. 

Layer the rolls with 6 slices of cheese. 

Top the cheese with the chicken. 

Top the chicken with the red onion.

Top the chicken with 6 more slices of cheese.

Place the tops of the rolls on top. With a pastry brush cover the tops with the garlic butter. 

Sprinkle the dried minced onion on top. 

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese has melted. 

Sprinkle parsley on top and serve.

Notes

Storage and reheating instructions:

Store any leftover chicken sliders in the fridge using an airtight container for 3 or 4 days.

Reheat in a 350°F oven covered with foil on a baking sheet for 8 to10 minutes. Remove the foil to let the buns toast for another 2 minutes.
