Description

This easy Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Loaf is filled with layers of tender biscuits, sweet apple pie filling and plenty of cinnamon sugar, then finished with a simple vanilla glaze. Made with canned biscuits and apple pie filling, it’s an easy fall breakfast or dessert that gives you all those cozy apple pie flavors with very little prep.

Ingredients

Units
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury Flaky Layer Biscuits
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 21 oz can apple pie filling
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang on the sides to make the baked loaf easier to lift out.
  2. Separate each biscuit into two thinner layers to make 16 biscuit pieces. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and set aside.
  3. Stir the sugar and cinnamon together in a shallow bowl. Pour the melted butter into a separate shallow bowl.
  4. Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter, coating both sides, then coat generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  5. Lay one coated biscuit flat and spoon a small amount of apple pie filling over the top. Add another coated biscuit and more apple filling, repeating to create small stacks. Making stacks of about four biscuit pieces at a time makes them easier to handle.
  6. Turn each biscuit stack on its side and arrange them in the prepared loaf pan. Continue adding the stacks until the pan is comfortably filled. Do not pack the biscuits too tightly or they may not bake through in the center.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the biscuits are cooked through and no longer doughy in the center. The top will become golden brown as it bakes.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk. Add a little more milk as needed until the glaze reaches a smooth, drizzleable consistency.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the warm apple cinnamon biscuit loaf. Serve and enjoy.
